Description of the grant:
This is a grant to attend the second Egyptian Conference of Cleft Lip and Palate (ECCLP) which
will be held in Cairo, 9-10 February, 2024, with an option to attend the pre-conference surgical
workshop in Sohag. Successful applicants will receive a grant, which will depend on the
applicant’s country of origin, to cover part of the conference expenses (conference registration,
travel and accommodation). The amounts below are in pounds sterling.
The grant is kindly provided by CLEFT-Bridging the Gap, United Kingdom.
Eligibility:
Clinicians (surgeon, speech pathologist, orthodontist and others) who are regularly involved in
cleft care from low to middle income countries with the focus on the MENA reagion (Egypt, Iraq
Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Sudan, and Yemen,…,other countries could be considered).
Deadline is 13 October, 2023.
Amount:
In addition to the full conference registration fees, the following amounts will be paid to aid in
travel expenses. Candidates from Egypt (outside Cairo: £50) and other countries (£300).
